It is not necessary that you also buy all these equipment but you will get the idea of what you should buy. I have acquired all these travel photography gear gradually over time. And there are hidden reasons behind purchasing all this equipment which you will come to know further.
All travelers or tourists who are very fond of gadgets have a lot of excitement in their mind about their new equipment, I am also among them. But in this excitement, we buy everything at once which we do not even need. Therefore, choose your gear slowly as per requirement.

Sony A6300 – Best camera for travel photography
I have traveled to many places but I have only memories of those places in my mind. To capture those moments, I bought my first camera Sony a6300.
The camera is very handy and not so bulky that it becomes a problem in carrying it with you. The picture quality is great and it works well for me for both photos and videos.
Why buy Sony 6300
My reasons behind buying Sony a6300 camera are only Pros, I did not think about Cons because as mentioned there was more excitement about the arrival of the new gadget. This camera is an APSC crop sensor camera which supports E mount.
Here are some reasons why I bought the Sony A6300:
- Sony a6300 is mirrorless camera.
- It supports 4K video.
- While taking travel photos, its screen moves outwards which makes it easy to take photos at low angle.
- It works well in both photo and video options.
- Along with inbuilt mic, external mic can also be installed in it.

Sony Lenses for Travel Photography
Sony a6300 camera comes with interchangeable lenses. We can install the lens in this camera as per our choice. I have only 2 Sony lenses and those lenses are enough for me till now.
As much as Sony’s lenses are good in quality, their pricing is also very good and good pricing means expensive. Therefore, before purchasing Sony lenses, keep your needs in mind.
Sony Lens for Landscape Photography
Sony’s E PZ 16-50 mm F3.5-5.6 OSS This lens is very small, compact and lightweight. This lens is kept in the category of wide angle lens. It also has a zoom facility which can go from 16mm to 50mm.

Sony Telephoto Lens: Wildlife photography
This lens is E 55–210 mm F4.5–6.3 OSS (SEL55210) telephoto lens which is used to capture distant pictures. Its range is from 55mm to 210mm, whose stability is quite good.

Why buy Sony Telephoto lens
The reason for taking this lens is that I went for jungle safari which is Rajaji Tiger Reserve on Chilla Range in Haridwar city of Uttarakhand. I saw many animals there but my hands and camera were tied because no matter how hard I tried, the animals were far away and I was not able to take their pictures.
The reason why I had to buy this lens was that along with travelling, I am also fond of photography.
GoPro Hero 11 Black
Although Sony A6300 is a very handy camera but it may not be possible to carry it everywhere. Every camera is made according to its need. Similarly, there are GoPro action cameras which can be used anywhere from water to sports adventure. It is smaller in size and better in quality.
Why buy GoPro Hero 11 Black
It is not possible to get the camera wet in water or rain to make a video and using the Sony a6300 to record any action is quite a task. Only an action camera can do the work of an action camera.
And why only GoPro, long ago when I had no knowledge of cameras, I compromised on the quality and bought a pocket friendly action camera whose quality and clarity were negligible. I had learned from that lesson that I will buy only once but only buy a good one, so I finally bought GoPro.

Travel Photography Accessories
You may have bought a camera and lens, but unless accessories are included with them, they will not be able to show their potential in a better way. So now comes the turn of the accessories along with the camera.
In our travel journey, half of the luggage is taken up by camera equipment and more than half of the luggage is taken up by accessories, but because of these we are able to capture better moments.
Memory card for Sony A6300
SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro Memory Card which keeps all the data safely. The better the memory card, the better speed your camera will get and you will get a better experience. So always keep in mind to choose the right memory card which has good speed and completes your work very efficiently.

Tripod: Sonya6300
The Sony a6300 camera does not have inbuilt image stabilization. Due to which the help of a tripod has to be taken to take better photos or to make videos through zoom lens. If you ever want to take a picture or make a video yourself, you don’t have to wait for someone else’s help.
Stabilizer
Bought a stabilizer to make the video better and stable. Fly cam DSLR Nano HD Stabilizer steady cam.
Mic
You have made a good video but if there is sound disturbance in it then all the fun of the video gets ruined. For this reason, along with the quality of the video, it is also necessary to improve the sound, for which we have used: Boya by-MM1 Super-Cardioid Shotgun Microphone.
ND Filter
SHOPEE 40.5mm Neutral Density ND, it works to reduce the light coming into the camera lens like sunlight or bright light.
GoPro Accessories for Safety
I bought a GoPro action camera but I wanted to be very secure about this camera because I bought it after a long wait. So for its safety I had bought some things which are:
GoPro screen Protector
After purchasing the GoPro camera, the first thing I did was to apply an extra layer of glass protector on its screen because protecting the camera screen is a very important task. What I bought it for: POPIO Tempered Glass Screen Protector
GoPro screen Protector
The GoPro can be taken in water, and even after applying a screen protector. Hesitant to take the GoPro into water, I ordered the ADOFYS Waterproof Housing Case.
Laptop
To edit all these photo videos, a heavy machine will be required. Keeping this in mind, I have purchased a gaming laptop which is capable of doing other work along with editing. For which I have chosen Acer Nitro 5 laptop.

Storage
After collecting so much data, it is not possible to keep it in the laptop. The hard drive for which has been selected is Seagate Expansion 1TB External HDD – USB 3.0.
Many more things and accessories have to be bought with time and need and I have also bought them.
